Situated close to Skeabost Country House Hotel, visitors can take a stroll through the beautiful grounds to have a quiet drink or a meal in the restaurant. Golfers can enjoy a round of golf on the course that is next to the property. Fishing is available on the loch and the river Snizort that runs close by. For sailing and canoeing enthusiasts, there is access to the sea-loch just a few yards from the property which visitors are welcome to use. There are numerous places of interest within easy reach. Talisker Distillery is just a short drive, and 13 miles away is Dunvegan Castle, the oldest inhabited castle in Scotland and seat of the Clan MacLeod since the 13th century, which is well worth a visit.

Visitors are welcome to wander the beautiful grounds and also take a boat to encounter the seals closer to hand. There is also a renowned coral beach nearby. The pretty harbour town of Portree is just 6miles away. Set around its natural harbour, with spectacular hills and mountains beyond, Portree is a quintessentially picturesque fishing village. Brightly painted cottages cluster round the active harbour where some of the finest fish restaurants can be found. There is also an excellent selection of local shops, pubs and other restaurants. Travelling a few miles further north the pretty sea-port of Uig has a number of excellent pubs and restaurants, a local bakery, pottery and is also the home of the Isle of Skye brewery. From here one can take a day ferry trip to the Outer Isles.
